our name implies, we are a young, vibrant and confidently thrusting
firm employing cutting edge technology for the benefit of

At the same time we have unrivalled knowledge
and experience in our fields of expertise, covering Test,
Calibration and Thermal systems. With over fifty man years
solid experience between the staff, clients can be assured
of a professional service.
Young Calibration specialises in the areas of flow measurement
and thermal systems, and provides their expertise to an abundance
of industry specific clients. Three
departments cover the range of services on offer, namely
the Calibration Laboratory, the Thermal Fluids Test Laboratory and the
Component Test Laboratory. |
The Calibration Laboratory
houses seven dedicated flow rigs, for gas flow, air flow, water flow, oil flow and fuel flow, and is
complimented with calibration facilities for pressure, temperature, humidity, electrical,
mass, torque and acceleration.
All our test rig equipment is calibrated to recognised standards
in accordance with ISO 17025, meaning all equipment is traceable
to National Standards. The Calibration laboratory also holds
UKAS accreditation for a variety of parameters.

THERMAL SYSTEMS
The Thermal Fluids Test Laboratory offers specialist thermal
performance testing for air and fluid heat exchangers. |

Central
to the laboratory is a purpose built wind tunnel, coupled
to various module systems for
delivering air charge flow, hot oil flow and hot coolant
flow media.
Primarily
designed for automotive radiators, oil coolers and chargecoolers,
the facility also provides
valuable performance data for industrial heat exchangers.

Thermal Imaging photography and real time images now compliment
the laboratory.
COMPONENT
TEST LABORATORY
Facilities within the laboratory continue to develop, with offerings for pressure
testing, thermal cycling, vibration testing, shock testing, hot and cold soak,
mechanical durability and pulsation testing.
