The
pre-filter oven couples up to the emissions take off probe
and filters away unwanted soot, oil and acoustical effects.
It can be heated to a maximum 200° C and incorporates
a quick release stainless steel filter housing allowing element
changes in seconds at system operating temperatures.
The filter unit is of stainless steel construction
for maximum durability and incorporates both the cool temperature
control unit and the heated filtration unit into one compact
housing. Provision is also made for filtration of the cold
sample lines and for a line overspill calibration.

Heated Pre-filter
Benefits
• Reduced HC Hang up.
• Extended service life of Analytical equipment.
• Cost reductions on emission bench OEM filters.
• True down the line calibration check.
• Prevents local overheating of heated line.
• Extended heated line life.
• No testing downtime for filter changes.
• Usable on 2-Stroke engines
• Added protection to costly emissions bench.
• Easy to use.
The Pre-filter, although not a necessity,
has proved time and time again |
 |
its worth within the emissions
testing arena.
No
longer do you have ever increasing HC readings as the system
lines become HC laden, with regular pre-filter element changes
the HC hang up can be kept to a minimum.
System blockages are much greatly reduced and
when you come to service the accompanying emissions bench
the cleanliness is clearly evident. Early units have now
accounted for over 90,000 running hours without any major
problems. |
